I researched the heck out of car toppers before I settled on this one. I was able to put it on the car; strap it on and load by myself. Before I left with it, I had someone double check it was strapped down well. Drove over 1800 miles from Texas to Vermont without any issues. I did have to duct tape the extra strap length down so it didn’t make noise but that is minimal issue. It’s is such good shape after the drive, I wouldn’t hesitate to load it up and use it to go another 1800 miles! Highly recommend !!!

If you are like me, you looked up reviews for every rooftop bag out there. After (too much) research, I land on the Sherpak. We used this bag on 10+ hour drive through rain, snow, and hot desert sun. It was unloaded and reloaded multiple times. It worked like a charm. No tears or water at all - and it was very snug on the roof of our SUV. Very happy with this purchase! The best part is that you can fold it up and put it back in your car when you don’t need it!

We couldn't decide between the hard box or the Sherpack. We went for the Sharepak mainly because we did not have much space to store the hard box in our garage. The Sherpack is very well made and is really quick and easy to throw up on the roof. The best thing is that we did not have to buy anymore hardware (Toyota Highlander) as we only have the from to back bars. We traveled on the freeway at fast speeds and had no problems at at.

I used this product on an 8-day roadtrip from San Diego, CA to Seattle, WA. It was very easy to install on my older Honda CRV's naked roof. … It stayed secure the entire time. I also bought the pad separately and I definitely recommend using that. I zip-tied the unused straps so they would not flap in the wind; it was quiet and I would often forget it was even there. Questions

Answers from the product details and from people who own one. Still stuck? Email us.

Do I need a roof rack?

No. The universal strap system secures the GO! 15 to cars with or without crossbars. Reviewers have run it on bare roofs, factory bars and aftermarket racks.

Does it keep gear dry?

The seams are welded rather than sewn, and the zipper sits deeply recessed. Reviewers report dry gear after long drives through rain and snow.

Where does it go when I’m home?

It folds down. Owners put it back in the car between trips instead of giving up garage space to a hard box.

Can I load and install it alone?

Yes. Several reviewers put it on, strapped it down and loaded it by themselves.
